Good congregations get things done, they are resilient in the face of adversity, and they don’t compromise their integrity. And the Lord recognizes this. But churches small and large, single congregations as well as a Church in a given community can get off track. They can become such doers that they forget how to “be” church. Because they are committed to “the presence of Jesus” among them, organic churches listen to Jesus and do what he says, but also strive to retain their first love.
